A vision backed by evidence. A future driven by opportunity.

The 2022/2023 _Intersex Persons Economic Empowerment Research_ highlighted an urgent need: sustainable economic inclusion for intersex persons.

Today, that vision becomes reality.

Introducing EPIC – Economic Empowerment for Intersex Communities. A 24-month pilot initiative by Key Watch Ghana & the Intersex Movement Ghana.

EPIC is designed to open doors to economic opportunities, strengthen livelihoods, and support intersex persons to thrive and reach their full potential.

This is more than a project. It’s a movement toward empowerment, dignity, and lasting change.

The journey starts now. Watch this space.

Eid al-Adha Mubarak to all Muslims around the world, and especially to our strong and beautiful intersex Muslim community.

May this sacred celebration bring peace, love, acceptance, unity, and countless blessings to every home. As we honor faith, sacrifice, and compassion, let’s continue building a world where intersex persons are seen, respected, and fully included in every community.

Wishing all intersex Muslims and allies a joyful and blessed Eid filled with happiness and hope.

We’re proud to share the publication of a new co-academic work by Shone Adjei, Founder of Key Watch Ghana and the Intersex Movement Ghana, and Sasha Eliana Rubashkyn, an advocate / human rights consultant / intersex person and activist.

Their correspondence, “Variation is not deviation: protecting intersex children in Ghana requires addressing layered vulnerability,” is now published in JME Practical Bioethics for international healthcare professionals.

This work is supported by the Journal of Medical Ethics, the world’s leading journal on medicine and ethics.

It’s a critical step toward recognizing that variation is human, and protection is a right.
