Every girl deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, lead and thrive. Investing in girls today means building a stronger, more inclusive and prosperous Ghana for tomorrow.

United Way Ghana, in partnership with Total Family Health Organization (TFHO), is bringing together key stakeholders for the Girl Child Empowerment Roundtable Meeting to explore how we can create more opportunities and remove barriers that prevent girls from reaching their full potential.

Under the theme “Every Girl, Every Opportunity: Investing in Ghana’s Next Generation of Women,” the roundtable will provide a platform for meaningful dialogue, collaboration and shared action towards advancing the empowerment and wellbeing of girls across Ghana.

Can you say it three times without getting tongue-tied? 😄📚

For International Literacy Day, our team at United Way Ghana decided to put our reading and speaking skills to the test with a good old-fashioned tongue-twister challenge! 😂

From “Lesser leather never weathered wetter weather better” to some seriously tricky phrases, our staff showcased that literacy isn't always about getting every word right, it’s also about having fun with language, building confidence and celebrating the power of words.

Beyond the laughter, today reminds us that literacy opens doors to knowledge, opportunity and a brighter future.

At United Way Ghana, we remain committed to working with our partners and communities to create opportunities for children and young people to learn, grow and thrive.

Every child deserves the opportunity to discover the world through a book.📚

Today, as we mark International Literacy Day, we celebrate the power of reading to open minds, build confidence, strengthen learning and create pathways to a brighter future.

At United Way Ghana, we believe that access to books and quality learning resources should not be determined by where a child lives or the circumstances they were born into. That is why we are grateful for the partners who continue to invest in literacy and education across Ghana.

Through their support, thousands of students have gained access to library books and reading resources:

📚 Prudential Life Insurance Ghana – supporting access to library books for 2,000+ students.
📚 Cummins Inc Ghana – helping 13,800+ students gain access to library books.

After weeks of intensive training, coaching, mentorship and preparation, the Youth Entrepreneurship Program Cohort 3 reached its grand finale in Accra.

Our finalists pitched.

Today, we reminisce on the United Way Ghana Youth Entrepreneurship Program Business Pitching moments!

Our finalists took centre stage in Accra for the final pitching session, and with only a few minutes to make their case, the young entrepreneurs presented their business ideas, demonstrated their understanding of the market and shared their vision for building sustainable businesses.

From innovative solutions to bold entrepreneurial ideas, every finalist brought something unique to the table.

The training was over. The preparation was done. It was time to speak your pitch.
