What an exciting weekend in Enugu!

There was so much to celebrate as the Enugu Chapter officially became two chapters!

We now have the Enugu North Chapter and the Enugu South Chapter, giving us even more room to reach and support members.

But the splitting of the chapter wasn’t the only thing that made the weekend special.

Members also shared their experiences and talked about how the Academy has impacted their lives and businesses. Hearing how the Academy is helping people grow, learn and become more self-reliant was truly beautiful.

President Lawrence Anunta, Stake President of Enugu North, joined the devotional and expressed his gratitude for having the Academy in his stake at this time. He also shared his excitement about what the Academy is doing and promised to be fully involved in the chapter activities.

For Enugu South, President Michael Oyewole, First Counselor, represented the Stake President and joined in the celebration.

And of course, we had the swearing-in of the new chapter leaders! They are ready to serve and promised to keep the flag of the Academy flying.

WSR Manager Gospel Ukandu was also there to share how strongly the Self-Reliance Department is working together with the Academy to help members change their lives, grow their businesses and become more self-reliant.

It was a weekend filled with growth, testimonies, new leaders and new beginnings.

Congratulations to Enugu North and Enugu South! We’re excited for what’s ahead.

Another StartNow training has come to an end at Bantama Stake, and what a great experience it has been!

From learning business principles to putting those lessons into practice, participants had the opportunity to think like entrepreneurs, explore new ideas, and turn opportunities into action.

Sometimes, the biggest lesson begins with a simple pin.

During the StartNow Training at Bantama Stake in Kumasi, participants were challenged to turn a simple pin into an opportunity to make money.

The groups responded differently.

Some were eager and immediately went out to see what they could accomplish.

Another group was hesitant. They questioned whether the activity could actually work and wondered why they should sell a pin when they would never do something like that in their everyday lives. After more than 30 minutes of hesitation, they finally went out—and returned with GHS 70 and lessons they did not expect.

Then there was another group that decided to think differently. After facing rejection, they took a picture of the pin, shared it online with a short explanation of the activity, and by the end of the allotted time, they had made GHS 200.

You don’t always need a better opportunity. Sometimes, you simply need to be willing to try a different approach.
