Africa is already rising through its people.

Today, on Africa Day 2026, we celebrate the resilience, creativity, brilliance, and leadership of Africans across the continent and in the diaspora.

This year’s theme reminds us that true progress must include justice, dignity, and opportunity for Africans and people of African descent across the globe.

At Rise for Impact, we believe the future of Africa is being shaped by young people bold enough to build, lead, innovate, and create impact beyond borders.

We are proud to be part of this movement one driven by vision, action, and the unstoppable potential of African youth.

The future of Africa is not waiting to happen. We are building it now.

Happy Africa Day 🌍✨

What happens when young minds come together to challenge ideas, defend opinions, and think beyond the classroom? 👏🏾

Rise to Impact hosted an exciting British Parliamentary Debate on the motion:

👉🏾 “This House Believes That Hands-On Skills Are More Important Than Good Grades.”

From strong arguments to confident delivery and thought-provoking exchanges, the session was filled with energy, learning, and meaningful conversations.

Seeing youths boldly voice out their ideas and challenge different perspectives was truly inspiring.

A special thank you to the Debate Club of the University of Buea for serving as judges and contributing to the success of the event.

At the end of the debate, one thing stood out clearly: hands-on skills and academic excellence work best together. Knowledge becomes more powerful when it is applied.

Now we want to hear from you 👀
Do you think hands-on skills are more important than good grades, or should both go hand in
hand? Share your thoughts in the comments! ⬇️

🚨 *TOMORROW AT 1PM* 🚨

Some students have perfect GPAs but can’t survive one real-life task 😭
Others have crazy skills but their grades are fighting for survival 💀

So tell us…

🔥 What actually matters more?
GOOD GRADES or HANDS-ON SKILLS?

Tomorrow, Team Grades and Team Skills are going head-to-head in a debate that promises:
😂 Funny moments
🧠 Smart points
🔥 Heated arguments
😳 Brutal truths
…and plenty of “waitttt… that actually makes sense” moments

Because honestly:
Would you rather hire someone with straight A’s and zero experience…
or someone with real skills and average grades? 👀

Come defend your side or just enjoy the chaos🔥

🤝 Call for Partnerships & Sponsorships — Rise for Impact Fellowship 2026

Africa’s future will be shaped by the young people we choose to invest in today.

As we prepare for Cameroon Cohort 1, we are bringing together a new generation of young African leaders committed to growth, leadership, innovation, and community impact.

Through the Rise for Impact Fellowship, selected fellows will gain access to:
• leadership development
• mentorship and guided learning
• practical community projects
• collaborative growth experiences
• structured pathways to impact

Your partnership will help create access, expand opportunities, and empower passionate young people to grow into leaders capable of creating meaningful change in their communities.

This is more than a fellowship.
It is an investment in Africa’s next generation of changemakers.
