Maintenance day at He Restores.

We like to have everything ready just in case I have to mobilize quickly.
We have it down to 35 or 40 minutes to fully load up for a full on deployment out of town.

None of this would be possible without people praying for us and backing us financially.

God gets all the glory!

One of my devotions today.

Prayer: “Father, thank You that Jesus moved toward me before I ever moved toward Him. Forgive me for writing people off or deciding who is worthy of my attention. Give me the eyes of Christ to see people with compassion and the courage to cross barriers with grace. Use ordinary conversations to point people toward Jesus. In His name, amen.”

I was drawn to the line, “Give me the eyes of Christ to see people with compassion and the courage to cross barriers with Grace”

I am praying for a divine appointment with someone who is far from God.

A line of storms is forecast enter far northwest Georgia during the early morning hours on Monday. These storms are expected to push southward through west Georgia during the morning, though there is some uncertainty on far south and east these storms will advance. Storms within this line could become strong to severe, capable of producing damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph and frequent lightning.

My devotion this morning was about the story of Lazarus.

As I return to this passage, I place myself in the tomb with Lazarus, bound, in the dark, waiting for a voice…

My heart drifts to Paul's words in Ephesians, that we have been made alive together with Christ (Ephesians 2:5). God does the resurrecting, but the unbinding is a journey, one that requires grace for others as well as ourselves. The Church exists, in part, for this very reason, to walk alongside one another as we step into the new life Christ has made possible. May I celebrate every new resurrected life and be ready to walk with them as they leave their old life behind.

I think about my journey. Always ongoing, never alone.

Thank you Lord for walking with me and putting the right people in my life.

We received a call yesterday concerning a 70-80’ oak tree that came down during a thunderstorm in the early hours on Monday.

We had to wait for Ga Power to restore power and make the job site safe. They completed their work yesterday afternoon.

Today, we were able to bless Mrs. Janice and remove the tree from her property.

We have kept busy doing routine maintenance on our tilt trailer yesterday.
We scraped and painted the rusty areas on the trailer.
We also painted our gang boxes and the wooden deck.

Today we will check and repack the bearings on the trailer if needed.

Our goal is always to be 100% ready when people are in need.

Please continue to pray for all the folks that have experienced flooding, tornadoes, and wildfires this past year.

They are still a lot of people hurting even though their towns are not in the current news cycle.

Last night Northwest Georgia experienced strong cells between the afternoon and early evening.

One of these cells hit the Acworth area with some substantial straight line winds.

Our church ( Cedarcrest Church) received the call that one of our church families was impacted by the strong winds.

They had two large trees go down in their backyard. One of them struck the corner of the house.

At Cedarcrest Church, we have what is known as the “Dirt” Team. Disaster impact response team.

Cedarcrest Church has been instrumental in the birth of He Restores.

They support us financially and have paid for all of our training. We consider Cedarcrest our sending Church and a vital partner.

We mobilized and we’re on site this morning at 8 AM.
We were able to limb and buck the two trees.
We placed them on the side of the driveway where they will be picked up at a later date once their insurance company settles with them.

It’s hard to see that a car is underneath the large branches.

The beast has new shoes.
I almost got stuck during our deployment to South Georgia last week.
These are more aggressive and should serve us well.

We would never be able to regularly maintain all of our equipment without the financial support of all of you!

Thank you .

Day three of our response to the Brantley County Highway 82 wildfires.
6/24/26
On Wednesday, we were able to safely fell 12-15 trees that have been badly burned in the wildfires.
Due to the close proximity to a fence and a septic tank system, eight of the trees needed to be secured with ropes so they would fall in the right direction.
A big thank you to three local men who helped with this process. Chet,Bill, and Rudy.
