Im sure you have seen the post of the counterfeit bills being used in our area!!

Attaching a photo here of a counterfeit $100 bill that was passed at a local restaurant last night while we were at dinner. (The Right one is counterfeit)

Workers did all the right steps to make sure it was real, the marker even shows its “real”.

The woman (named Sherry?) placed a to go order inside. Paid & got their change, asked for our name and badge number, and then never returned for their order!

They have been to Gettin Piggy Wit It, How We Roll Bakery, Oakwood Cafe, Dominos on Cuyler, Ingles in Chatsworth, & a business in Cartersville!

Local Authorities have been informed, but posting here so no one else gets SCAMMED!

DPD responded to a call early Thursday morning investigating a prank on Dalton’s own City Hall. In a seemingly harmless joke, perpetrators installed Spirit Halloween signs along the building.

One Facebook user commented “I guess they assume city hall is out of business due to the amount of people asking for their resignations.”

The signs have been taken down now.

DPD NEEDS YOUR HELP FINDING THE “Bathroom Bandit” 🚽🚨

A man reportedly entered the men’s restroom at Waffle House in Dalton, Georgia, carrying a backpack and allegedly stole the flush valve right off the toilet.

Not the jiggly handle, the… actual… the flusher pipe.

And apparently this isn’t the first stop.

He has also allegedly hit the Krystal and Bojangles in Fort Oglethorpe AND the Krystal on Brainerd Road in Chattanooga.

Apparently he goes into the restroom with a black backpack, removes the flusher, puts it in the bag and leaves.

If you recognize the man, please contact DPD.

Until he’s caught, Dalton restaurant owners might want to keep an eye on their toilets.

On October 17th, the first annual North Georgia Mothman Festival takes flight in downtown Chatsworth, GA. Nearly 20 vendors selling everything from used Harley Davidson shirts to useless things carved out of wood. Come take a selfie with the Mothman himself and he might let you hold his catalytic converter.

$10 at the gate. $25 VIP gets you early entry for a free drink and snack at the Monster Energy tent and a goodie bag containing exactly what’s seen here—a miller lite and a pack of reds.

Contests include Light Bulb Staring, to***co spitting, and a catalytic converter removal competition.

Hours: 10-5 on Saturday and Sunday
