Committees
The Board of Directors is supported by three (3) main committees, namely, the Executive, Human Resource, Finance and Technical Advisory Committees. Each Committee is governed by the regulations as outlined in their respective Charters. The Executive Committee is a group of Directors authorized and able to act on behalf of the Board (subject to compliance with applicable law) to determine urgent matters in the judgment of the Chairperson of the Board. The Human Resource (HR) Committee’s purpose is to assist the Board in relation to the management, development and oversight of human resources strategies and policies that govern the interpersonal relationship, overall staff development and morale of the organization. The Finance Committee coordinates the Board’s overall financial oversight responsibilities, thus, is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating GSDTF’s policies and programs for funding, financial management, facilities management, assets, risks, and insurance. The duties of the finance committee [with the approval of the Board of Directors] can be extended to include all fundraising matters and decisions. The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) is another supporting body whose primary task includes providing technical guidance and oversight in project proposal review. This committee primarily supports the grant-making function of the GSDTF and provides advice to the Board on scientific and technical matters about the grant process (incoming and outgoing grants). This team of six (6) members includes government and non-government organization representatives. The Secretariat
The GSDTF has a cadre of three (3): Chief Executive Officer, Program Officer and Administrative Assistant.
