When I was growing up, my dad used to say, “The man who keeps his tongue, saves his life.”

Now that I’m older, I truly understand what he meant. A wise man is slow to speak and quick to listen. Not everything you hear deserves a response — sometimes, silence is your greatest asset.

To the young people out there: build your future brick by brick, and move in silence. Not everyone needs to know your plans. Not everyone wants to see you win.

As you rise, your circle will get smaller. Your character will be tested. But always stay true to yourself.

Be slow to speak. Quick to listen. And let your actions speak louder than your words.
