Today, we celebrate Blessed Frédéric Ozanam, our founder.

Frédéric was just 20 years old when he helped establish the Society of St Vincent de Paul in Paris.
He saw poverty around him and knew that talking about faith wasn’t enough.
He wanted to do something.
That simple idea, to see someone in need, get alongside them and offer practical help and friendship, remains at the heart of who we are today.
Our members and volunteers continue Frédéric’s work every day. Whether it’s visiting someone who feels alone, supporting a family through a difficult time, providing food or furniture, or simply being there to listen, we are putting faith into action.
On his feast day, we give thanks for Frédéric’s vision and for everyone who continues to carry it forward 💙
