✨ The 2025/2026 Year in Review ✨

What a year it’s been.
We took a society with 0 members and turned it into a thriving community, hosting fortnightly meetings, competing in sports events, running socials, attending inter-university events, and collaborating with some of the biggest names and companies nationally and globally. 🌍

One of the biggest highlights of the year was seeing 133 of you attend the Vision Summit, an incredible moment that showed just how far this community has come. 🚀

Most importantly, we built a community of ambitious people willing to support each other, take opportunities, and grow together.

Here’s a mini montage celebrating an unforgettable year and everything we have achieved together 🎥✨

As always, keep believing in yourself, because anything is possible when you set your mind to it. 🫶

Just like that, an incredible 4 days come to an end! Thank you to and York European Campus for hosting us.

We are so grateful for how welcoming and supportive everyone was throughout the week. We truly enjoyed presenting our work and hearing about all of the incredible initiatives that have taken place over the past year. It’s inspiring to see so many amazing ideas making a real impact!

Last Thursday, we had the privilege of partnering with the York Accelerator Hub and to deliver our first Innovation Hub event. 🚀

Designed to simulate a fast-paced startup environment, the event challenged students to develop a complete business concept within just one hour and pitch it to a panel of industry experts. With over 8 teams pitching on the evening, the energy, creativity, and quality of ideas on display were outstanding.

Each team had experienced mentors who providing valuable guidance and insight throughout the process.

Thank you to everyone who attended, we hope you enjoyed the event! A fantastic way to round off an incredible year for the society. 🚀🩷

Last Thursday, we had the privilege of partnering with the York Accelerator Hub and to deliver our first Innovation Hub event. 🚀

Last Tuesday, we were invited to attend featuring David Wheeldon, Head of Government Affairs and Public Policy at YouTube.

David delivered a compelling talk on the pressing question: should we regulate the internet? particularly in the context of growing regulation and ongoing debates around social media bans for under-16s.

Thank you for the invitation to collaborate on this event, it was incredibly insightful and thought provoking.
