Singing Mamas York with Jess Recharge-Nourish-Connect with women in our beautiful singing circle Singing Mamas is all about making YOU feel good. Just simple songs taught by ear.

Singing Mamas is a national non-profit set up by nurse Kate Valentine to improve women's wellbeing. It is a grassroots movement of women including mamas, nurses, doctors, midwives, musicians, teachers and community workers who are all committed to improving wellbeing through singing. There are no auditions, no solos, no reading music. Your leader will sing the songs line by line and the group will

echo it back, until everyone knows it off by heart. (Then we might add a harmony or two!). Children are welcome and we always make time for a cuppa and some cake. Hey - I'm Jess, a creative individual who loves to sing as a way of building and sharing community. I enjoy playing instruments, running, cooking and hanging out with my dog and partner. Having worked and lived abroad, I am excited to set up some roots in York and connect with others. I can't wait to sing and connect with you!

Come and join our friendly circle next half term. We are meeting every other week on Mondays at Heworth Community Centre 9.30 - 11am. Singing together can be a great pillar in supporting your wellbeing, and the tea and cake and friendly natter helps too! Children welcome. 'I can't sing' voices welcome :)
