Our latest client survey shows £101,172 in annualised first-year benefit awards, secured through just 14 recorded successful claims.

From Blue Badges and Attendance Allowance to PIP, Universal Credit and housing support, our team helps people access the financial support they’re entitled to.

One client’s husband told us:

“I doubt we could have achieved this without your support.”

The family was supported to secure both a Blue Badge and the higher rate of Attendance Allowance.

And importantly, the £101,172 figure only reflects recorded successful awards - the true financial impact of our service is considerably greater.

Stray Walk Challenge raises £1,750 for OCAY

OCAY, the chosen charity of the York Gild of Freemen for 2025–2026, has received a £1,750 boost thanks in part to the success of the Gild Master's Stray Walk Challenge.

Taking in Walmgate Stray, Hob Moor, Monk and Bootham Strays, Bruce followed the historic boundaries of these much-loved green spaces, reflecting on their rich heritage while highlighting the role they play in supporting health, wellbeing and connection with nature.

Exciting opportunity in a small but vital York charity in its 25th year

We are looking for a skilled, compassionate and organised Lead Advocate to join our small team and help deliver high-quality general advocacy across York.

OCAY (Older Citizens Advocacy York) provides free, trusted and practical advocacy for people over 50 in the York area, who need someone to listen, explain, support, advocate, signpost or stand alongside them at difficult points in their lives.

If you have an understanding of the issues faced by older people - from health and social care to housing, benefits, loneliness and digital exclusion - and are committed to promoting fairness, dignity, and ensuring every voice is heard, we'd love to hear from you.
