Today is World Humanitarian Day.
It's a good moment to say thank you to the staff and
volunteers in the UK who support our work through sponsored runs, making sanitary kits
to support school girls in in Niger and supporting the organisation and running of our
charity events and our local partners in Gaza and Nepal who deliver hope to children in
the hardest circumstances

On 24 June, two earthquakes hit Venezuela's north-central coast within seconds.

Buildings came down, hospitals and the main airport were damaged, and the death toll has climbed into the thousands, with many more still missing.

A month on, families are still living in tents and stadiums turned into shelters. Power and clean water remain patchy in the worst-hit areas, and aftershocks keep interrupting the recovery.

Good Neighbors is mobilising an emergency response with local partners on the ground. The focus: emergency shelter, food, child protection, and basic health care for families in need.

We'll share updates as the response develops.

A few clicks and an update from Parallel Windsor. Thank you.
A festival built on celebration and encouragement, and we felt every bit of it on Saturday.

That's a wrap on Let Kids Be Kids. 🧑

Our runners took on Parallel Windsor on Saturday, finishing on the Long Walk with Windsor Castle behind them, and you raised Β£740 for children.

That money goes to work like assistive devices for children in Nepal and safe spaces for children in Gaza, help that changes what a childhood looks like.

A huge thank you to for organising a festival where everyone starts together and finishes whenever and for giving charities like ours a place in it.

To everyone who donated, shared, or ran, thank you. The campaign page is still open if you'd like to give, link in bio or here

Do you like these eye masks?

Amani and Sam made them and this Sunday you can make your own.

Come find the Good Neighbours UK stall at Parallel Windsor, Windsor Great Park, and design your own mask with us before you cheer the runners down the Long Walk.

Speaking of runners: Amani and Sam are walking and running on Sunday for children affected by crisis in Gaza, Nepal and beyond. They've already raised over Β£330 between them, and there's still a way to go.
Sam is 68% of the way to his Β£300 target and Amani has just passed 26% of hers.

Help them get there before race day:

πŸ’› Sponsor Amani - https://www.givengain.com/project/andleeb-raising-funds-for-good-neighbours-uk-125967

Then come say hello on Sunday. Masks, smiles and two very determined young fundraisers await.

Two days ago, we asked what the kid in you still does. You answered:
🌧 "Dancing in the rain"
πŸ“Ί "Watching cartoons again"
🍫 "Chocolates"
πŸƒ "Running, being silly, eating sweets, not stepping on the cracks"
πŸ˜‚ "Saying silly dad jokes and laughing our heads off"
(And yes, we still love dancing too.)

Notice something? None of these cost anything. Cartoons, rain, sweets, silliness that's all childhood really asks for.

But for children living through crisis in Gaza, Nepal, Niger and Cameroon, even these small joys can feel out of reach.

That's why we're at Parallel Windsor this Sunday, where everyone starts together and finishes whenever.

Because play shouldn't come with a cut-off time.

So what's one thing YOU remember about being a child? Keep them coming πŸ‘‡

Some joys are too good to outgrow. 🀫

Swinging at the park just because. Cold milk and two chocolate biscuits before bed. πŸ₯›πŸͺ

We're not ashamed and we have a feeling you aren't either.

Something exciting is coming this week that celebrates exactly this kind of childlike joy.
But first, what's ONE thing you still do that makes you feel like a kid again?

Drop it in the comments πŸ‘‡
