The Hub at Hutton Rudby

The Hub at Hutton Rudby A local cafe and community hub serving freshly made coffees, teas and locally baked cakes. Also provides cosy sofas, good books and free computer use.

Part of the beautiful Methodist Chapel, right at the heart of Hutton Rudby village green, The Hub is a volunteer-run, dynamic and quality space for the whole community. With freshly brewed Rountons coffee and home baked cakes from Zac's coffee house, it's the perfect place to catch up with friends. There are also dedicated spaces for curling up on the sofa with one of our great books, quiet reflec

tion, or taking advantage of our free wifi and computers. Got little ones with you? We welcome children of all ages, and encourage them to borrow books and use our IT corner - we even have a dedicated children's corner for pre-schoolers. So, enjoy our lovely space, treat yourself to a cake and make yourself at home.

Friday 16th October is “Restart a Heart Day”
A day to raise awareness of cardiac arrest
A day to learn CPR
A day to learn how to use the AED

I’m chuffed to bits to say that I will be visiting 6 local venues that have kindly agreed to host a first aid session for our local community.

This is completely FREE!!
Yes, FREE
What’s the catch? No catch, I’d like my local community to feel that little bit more confident and also competent in handling a situation that may require CPR.

So, why not pop along if you get the chance?!

Thanks everyone!

Tim

Oh, one last thing, if you think you would like to pop along can you please drop a message so I have a rough idea of numbers, thanks 🙂

And I couldn’t tag the poorhouse in great Ayton so so help there appreciated too 👍🏻
I’m good at first aid not social media!!

We love being able to put our tables out on the green near the Hub and for our customers to be able to enjoy a cuppa in the sunshine.
However, over the last few weeks we’ve had to clean up more and more dog poo from the pavement and grass just in front of the Hub. It’s not a pleasant job for our volunteers. We’ve even had a few instances where volunteers and customers have stood in dog poo.

We are going to get some dog poo bags to keep in the little letter holder at the Hub door incase anyone has forgotten theirs - so there really isn’t an excuse! Please pick up after your dogs!

Thank you
