Wymondham Open Gardens is a bi-annual event organised by Wymondham Heritage Society which raises funds for the Society and Wymondham Heritage Museum with volunteers and local gardeners opening their gardens to the public.

How can it be eight weeks since Open Gardens 2026?

We all had such a wonderful weekend it seems like only last weekend.

Thank you again to everyone who helped make the event a huge success from the gardeners themselves, to the Open Gardens volunteers who organised everything so well, to the volunteers at the museum for their time and support, the ticket sellers at the museum, Reeves, Wymondham Garden Centre and Wymondham Abbey Gift Shop and of course all of you who bought tickets and visited the gardens. It was lovely to see so many of you out and about over the 2 days.

Wymondham Heritage Museum hosted a lovely thank you event on Saturday for our wonderful volunteers and gardeners who put so much time and effort into opening their gardens for us on the weekend of June 6th and 7th.

We are so grateful for all their efforts and fundraising which resulted in such a special weekend of community spirit, fundraising and most importantly enjoying gardens 🪻🌿🌷🌹🌼🌳

The tea and coffee flowed on Saturday everyone enjoyed talking about their experiences and sharing ideas. Cake and biscuits were of course devoured too !.

Thank you again to everyone who makes Wymondham Open Gardens so special. We are already looking forward to the next one !

We are ready for Open Gardens Day 2 from 12 to 5pm today, Sunday.

Despite the weather those who ventured yesterday had a lovely time visiting the gardens and it was great to see so much community spirit out there and people walking with their maps and tickets in hand !

Hopefully the forecast for today will be right and we will have a dry day so if you haven't got your ticket , you can pick them up today from Wymondham Heritage Museum, Wymondham Abbey shop and Wymondham Garden Centre for just £5.

Last minute prepping and weeding is taking place ready for Open Gardens this weekend 🌿 12 to 5pm

The weather forecast for tomorrow is not looking great at the moment but Open Gardens will be going ahead no matter!!

Sunday is looking a lot brighter so let's hope it stays like it 🌞

Tickets are just £5 and available from Wymondham Heritage Museum, Wymondham Garden Centre, Wymondham Abbey shop, and Reeves.
Also available from all Gardens over the weekend.

Come rain or shine we will be there and are really looking forward to a wonderful weekend.

The countdown to Open Gardens is upon us, and Diana and her team have worked so hard to make it a spectacular weekend. They have worked tirelessly for months to make sure that this whole weekend is a massive sucess and shows how truly amazing Wymondham's community spirit is, and we can't wait for Wymondham Open Gardens 2026.

Along with Diana and her team , each and every one of the gardeners who gave generously decided to open their gardens to the public this weekend have worked so hard to ensure that it is truly something to remember and we cant wait to see all of their hard work come to fruition.

With Open Gardens now only next weekend we are really getting excited and looking forward to seeing all our participating gardens open and in all their glory 🌺🌼.

Gardens are open from 12pm to 5pm Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th June. Tickets are just £5 for adults. The ticket also gives you free entry to Wymondham Heritage Museum by the end of the year. All this for £5 really is a bargain.

Tickets are for sale from the museum. Wymondham Abbey shop, Reeves, Wymondham Garden Centre and from participating gardens over the weekend.

If you are in town today, why not pop along to the Market Place and buy your ticket for next weekends Open Gardens.

Tickets are just £5 each and we are selling them at the Market this Friday.

Tickets are of course also available at Wymondham Heritage Museum, Wymondham Garden Centre, Reeves, and Wymondham Abbey shop at all times.
