Men’s Mental Health Awareness Week 💙
To all veterans and serving personnel: strength isn’t measured by how much you carry alone.
Many of us were trained to push through pain, stay resilient, and put others first. Those qualities are admirable, but they can also make it harder to speak up when we’re struggling.
Mental health challenges don’t discriminate. Whether you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD, loneliness, or simply feeling overwhelmed, you are not weak, and you are not alone.
Checking in on your mates can save a life. A simple message, phone call, or conversation over a brew can make all the difference.
This week, let’s remember:
✅ It’s okay not to be okay.
✅ Asking for help is a sign of courage, not weakness.
✅ Looking after your mental health is just as important as looking after your physical health.
✅ Brotherhood doesn’t end when service does.
If you’re struggling, reach out to someone you trust, a fellow veteran, a support organisation, or a healthcare professional. There is always support available.
Take care of yourselves, and take care of each other.
Woody’s Lodge is always here when you need us, with a brew and a friendly face.
