🚨 2am- GRESFORD FLAGS TAKEN DOWN 🚨

The flags have gone again. The alarm was triggered, but unfortunately we arrived too late.

There are now no flags left on Gresford roundabout. According to a witness they have been cut down using a knife attached to a pole. Due to the nature of the incident, the police were informed and carried out a search of the area, but those responsible had already left.

We will be putting the flags back up within 24 hours.

These are your donations for the flags that are being stolen and thrown in the bin. If anyone has any information, you can contact us in confidence on 07774354893.

Unfortunately, every time this happens it diverts time, money and resources away from our plans to move forward and place flags in other villages across Wrexham.

For every flag taken down, two more will go back up.

We will not be intimidated, we will not back down, and we will not stop.

The dragons on Gresford roundabout have been restored, along with plenty more there and down Llanypwll Link Road next to The Flash.

This is our town, our streets, and our beautiful Welsh flag.

As long as there are people willing to defend it, the Red Dragon will keep flying.

We were very much hoping we didn’t have to use these, but after someone has ripped down our Welsh national flags on Gresford roundabout, all of them will now be under surveillance 24/7.

So it turns out Arfon Jones, who lodged an unsuccessful formal complaint with Wrexham Council calling for Welsh flags to be removed, is the former Police & Crime Commissioner for North Wales.

He’s also a walking disgrace. For shame.

🚨 The dragons on Gresford roundabout being ripped down is an absolute disgrace. It’s cowardly. It’s pathetic. And it’s an insult to Wrexham — to who we are and what we stand for.

Let’s get this straight right now: the Wrexham town flags are our flags. They belong to this town, this community, this identity. Not to the shadows who sneak around at night thinking they can tear down what they’ll never understand.

Every flag they rip down will be replaced. Every single one. They can tear them down a hundred times — we’ll put up a hundred more. They will NEVER erase us. They will NEVER silence us. They will NEVER break Wrexham.

This town stands together. This town fights back with pride, not fear. And anyone trying to undermine that is wasting their time. Wrexham doesn’t bow. Wrexham doesn’t bend. Wrexham rises.

82 years ago this morning, young men waded ashore at Normandy under fire. Many of them were teenagers. They didn't hesitate. They fought for freedom, for democracy, for a way of life worth protecting. Thousands paid the ultimate price. We remember them today and vow to protect what they fought for.
