Important announcement folks

The wild carp trust are seeking a fundraiser to join our committee!

The ideal candidate would have knowledge of fundraising, either professionally or voluntarily, and an understanding of the charity sector would be an advantage. This role would be responsible for supporting the charity with income generation from the community, events, and corporates; some of which have already been established.

This is a vital voluntary role for supporting the growth of the charity, and to ensure the wild carp trust achieves its aims; your time will be hugely appreciated.

If you think you could help, please get in touch for a chat!

Thanks to all for supporting the Wild Carp Trust this year. We’ve been super busy, looking after the carp in our conservation pools, administering the carp fishing at Llyngwyn, and securing other waters.

We are in the process of moving website provider, so have been prioritising this activity and will continue to do so through December and January. This means the annual journal will be published early next year.

The good news is that we will have a new and improved website, member booking system, and online shop. And – big reveal – we will have an online booking system for ticket sales to fish at Llyngwyn next year, and potentially a second water. More to follow in the New Year.

Very best wishes for a wonderful Christmas!

Wild Carp Trust president John Bailey stocking one of our 20 conservation pools.

This one is a restored stew pond next to a church, now in the garden of a rectory. So, naturally, we named it Rectory Pool.

Brood fish for our conservation programme.

These adult wildies will spawn and their offspring will be raised to stock new pools. All helping to build the population of these rare fish.
