Welcome to Bwlchgwyn School’s out of school childcare facility, known as Bwlchgwyn Cabin Crew. We are a registered childcare provider offering high quality childcare which is accessible and affordable to all, including children from other schools. We operate from a self-contained building situated within the grounds of Bwlchgwyn School. Our aim is to provide a happy, warm, stimulating and secure environment so that your child can enjoy their time with us. We offer a range of play activities /workshops in a welcoming and safe atmosphere. We operate an Equal Opportunities and Inclusion policy, offering freedom from discrimination. We are regulated by the Care Inspectorate for Wales (CIW) and adhere to the National Minimum Standards for Childcare. We provide care for children aged between 2 and 12 years up to a maximum of 40 children and adhere to a 1:8 adult:child ratio. Bwlchgwyn Cabin Crew is managed by a small group of volunteer parents who employ a team of staff, all of whom are DBS checked and suitably qualified. In addition to their childcare qualifications staff also hold first aid, food hygiene and child protection qualifications as a minimum. We firmly believe in equality of opportunity and welcome children from all cultural and religious backgrounds. We also welcome children with specific needs. We have facilities to cater for those with physical, behavioural and educational specific needs.
