The atmosphere was incredible, with hundreds of people coming together to celebrate love, inclusion, and the freedom to be yourself.

Everyone should always feel welcome, valued, and respected.

Seeing Wrexham come together in such a positive and supportive way means a great deal.

Thank you to have our dance group.
Thank you to the organisers, volunteers, performers, and everyone involved making Wrexham Pride such a fantastic celebration. Here’s to continuing to build a community where everyone can be proud of who they are 🌈👏

O mundial continua a nos dar alegria. O mundo escolheu o melhor golo do Mundial.

E foi para o Caboverdiano Sidney Lopes Cabral 👏🇨🇻🇨🇻🇨🇻Parabéns Sidney & CV

Cape Verde's Sidny Lopes Cabral has been crowned winner of the Hyundai Goal of the Tournament at the FIFA World Cup 2026, seeing off the likes of Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé in the global fan vote.

The 23-year-old defender earned the honour for his stunning strike against Argentina in the Round of 32 in Miami, where he cut inside past Alexis Mac Allister and curled the ball into the top corner past Emiliano Martínez.

The goal levelled the tie at 2-2, though Cape Verde ultimately fell 3-2 to the eventual finalists in extra time.

FIFA confirmed the effort claimed a runaway share of the public vote, finishing ahead of Uzbekistan's Eldor Shomurodov and Haiti's Wilson Isidor.

The moment was so overwhelming that Cabral's mother fainted in the stands, in scenes compared to Lilian Thuram's mother at the 1998 World Cup.

The award caps a fairytale tournament for Cape Verde, the tiny island nation that won hearts on its first-ever World Cup appearance.
