Volunteers’ Week might be coming to an end, but moments like this are exactly why volunteers matter.

Kingswood Rainbows had a wonderful session at Wotton library a few weeks ago. They read some books, did some book related activities and then wrote a collaborative story. All the girls added their suggestions and then the final story was created! See below for the final edit, plus some of the fabulous ideas.

We had:
✨ magical forests
🧚 pixies
🐟 a fish jumping onto someone’s face
🌸 skipping garden gnomes
and of course, a bubble stream!

The creativity, confidence and laughter in the room were wonderful to see.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who help create spaces where children can imagine, create and simply enjoy being children

We're delighted to be hosting the Town Hall Teas on Monday 25th May.

We will have lots of delicious cakes, with plenty of refillable teas or coffees! Come along for our teddy tombola and 'Blind date with a book' stall too.

All welcome, we'll be there from 2:30 to 5pm at Wotton Town Hall (opposite the Star Inn, under the scaffolding!)

1,000 girls, 1 sunny day, and a whole lot of ice cream! 🍦☀️

​The Kingswood and Wotton Brownies had the best time joining Girlguiding Gloucestershire’s massive county day out this Saturday.

We teamed up with 1,000 Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, and Rangers to celebrate 5 amazing years with our outgoing County Commissioners.

​Between the millions of animals, a giant campfire singalong, and hitting our step count for the weekend, it was definitely a day to remember! 🎶🦓

Looking for something to do this Saturday afternoon?

Come along to our Wotton Guides Spring Fair for a relaxed, friendly afternoon 💛

We’ll have:

We’re running a Spring raffle to raise funds for our Guides and would love your support 💛

Tickets are £1 each and we’ve got some brilliant prizes up for grabs, including:

We’re currently looking for new volunteers to support Girlguiding in Wotton-under-Edge 💙

We have a number of Brownies reaching the end of their time who are keen to continue their Girlguiding journey. At the moment, our existing unit is full, so we’re hoping to welcome a few new volunteers to help us create more spaces.

Volunteering is flexible and no prior experience is needed... just a willingness to get involved and support local girls to grow in confidence and try new things.
