What a fantastic day at BOUNCE 💛

On Sunday, we were delighted to join forces with Pied Piper Appeal to host BOUNCE, an inclusive sports day for children we support and their families from across the Three Counties.

Held at Oxstalls Sports Park in Gloucester, the day gave families the opportunity to spend quality time together and try new activities, including tennis, rounders, archery, axe throwing and dance. There was something for everyone to enjoy.

We also had a quiet space with colouring and crafts for children who needed a calmer moment throughout the day.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day possible, including innocent and Daily Dose, who kindly donated a wonderful variety of drinks for the children and families to enjoy on the day. We would also like to thank Tesco Evesham for donating a great selection of fruit, which kept the children fuelled throughout the day.

We would also like to thank Neil from LTA Open Court Tennis for organising and facilitating the sports activities, Droitwich Tennis at The Lido Park for providing their wonderful volunteers, and Amy from for delivering a fantastic dance class!

Most importantly, thank you to all the families who joined us.

Every child deserves a reason to smile 💛

On National Smile Day, we are reminded how important those small moments of joy really are – especially for children and families facing childhood cancer.

Your support helps make them possible:
- £20 could support a day out for a bereaved sibling
- £50 could fund a Family Support session
- £100 could provide a new diagnosis support pack

Together, we can create more moments like this 🐞

Thank you 💛

To everyone who continues to support us – whether you donate, fundraise, volunteer or simply share what we do.

We receive no regular government funding, so everything we do is only possible because of you.

We are so grateful!

Today is an important moment to shine a light on blood cancers, including those that affect children and young people.

Childhood cancers are not the same as adult cancers. They can appear in different parts of the body, behave differently, and respond differently to treatment.

Blood cancers are among the most common cancers diagnosed in children. That is why awareness matters.

Because early diagnosis can make a real difference.

Knowing the signs and symptoms could help a child get the support they need sooner:

Unusually pale, tired or lacking energy
Pain that won’t go away
Unusual bruising or bleeding
A lump or swelling
Changes in vision or a new squint
Or simply feeling that something isn’t right

On World Blood Cancer Day, we’re reminding everyone of something simple but powerful:

You know your child best.

If something doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts and seek advice.

Learn more about the signs and symptoms on our website - link in bio to the campaign

Together, we can help ensure more children are diagnosed earlier and supported sooner.

Atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumours are a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer, usually affecting babies and young children. Because it’s so rare, research has been limited, and new treatments are urgently needed.

That’s why we’re incredibly proud to share a major step forward.

With your support, we funded a 3‑year research project led by Dr Ruman Rahman at the University of Birmingham, and the results offer future hope to families.

What the team discovered:
· Three specific proteins on AT/RT tumour cells that could become new treatment targets
· Two existing cancer drugs that may be able to block these proteins which means potential progress could come faster than developing a brand‑new drug from scratch

The next stage is to test these drugs in the lab specifically for AT/RT. If successful, this could move us closer to a future clinical trial and closer to better options for children facing this devastating diagnosis.

We could not have done this without our wonderful fundraisers and especially our dedicated named funds which have fundraised tirelessly to make this possible.
