MusicProject, a Southampton charity, supports wellbeing and progression through music, supporting at-risk youth, children and young people with special education needs and disabilities, and vulnerable adults.

With Prime Foundation funding, they were able to purchase new instruments for community sessions.

Matt Salvage, CEO of SoCo Music Project, shared: “As a small music charity, we are incredibly grateful to the Prime Foundation for financial support allowing us to buy new instruments and music equipment for our community sessions. To see the joy that new instruments bring to participants is impossible to measure.”

Last month, we rolled up our sleeves to support local Prime Foundation grant recipient Stepway by helping to paint the main hall at their LINK Community Hub in Powick, Worcestershire.

STEPWAY does incredible work supporting veterans as they transition to civilian life, and this was a brilliant opportunity for us to give back in a hands-on way. Not only did we help brighten up a vital community space, but we also had a great time doing it!

It’s always rewarding to see how Prime Foundation grants can make a tangible difference, and even more so when we get to be part of the journey.

Two years ago, the Prime Foundation funded two new rugby wheelchairs, essential for the sport of Wheelchair Rugby. These have been instrumental in developing players, enhancing their skills through rigorous training and competition.

Vince Barton, Trustee, said at the time: “Rugby Wheelchairs are essential and specialised equipment for our sport of Wheelchair Rugby. We’d like to thank the Prime Foundation for providing the funds for two new wheelchairs.”

This grant was one of four awarded by the Prime Foundation in Southampton, made possible by Prime’s development of a Sterile Services Department and Aseptic Pharmacy at the Adanac Health and Innovation Campus.

At The Prime Foundation, we’re committed to supporting our local community of Worcestershire as well as communities local to Prime developments.

Last year, we were pleased to provide a grant to Vale of Evesham, a special education needs school, for outdoor sensory play equipment for their youngest students.

“Children’s motor skills, role play, and peer interaction have been met with a variety of sensory, balance and stimulating apparatus which has resulted in a lot of happy smiling learners.” Stacey Hazelton, Finance and Admin Assistant at Vale of Evesham School
