Do you have a few hours to spare each week? We'd love to welcome new volunteers to our friendly Crouch End shop, located by the iconic clock tower. Our volunteers play a vital role in helping raise funds for Haven House Children's Hospice, supporting seriously ill children and their families.

Whether you're looking to meet new people, gain retail experience, build confidence, learn new skills, or simply give back to your local community, we'd love to hear from you.

💙 Happy Father’s Day 💙

Today, we’re celebrating all the incredible dads, stepdads, grandads and father figures in our Haven House family.

Our Haven Lads Dads’ Group is a reminder that no dad should have to face life’s challenges alone. Through shared experiences, friendship, laughter and support, these amazing men continue to show strength, compassion and resilience for their families every day.

To all the dads who are part of our Haven Lads community and beyond, thank you for everything you do. We hope you have a day filled with love, appreciation and special moments with those who matter most.💙

Every item has a story to tell…

As part of Children’s Hospice Week, our seven Haven House charity shops have been busy creating beautiful window displays inspired by this year’s theme, A journey to precious memories.

From books, photos, vintage finds to handwritten memories shared by customers, each display celebrates the moments that matter most. Just like the families we support, every item donated to our shops has been on its own journey, carrying memories from one home before finding a place in another.

Did you know we have seven charity shops across North East London and West Essex? They are treasure troves of unique finds, hidden gems and precious memories waiting to be discovered.

A huge thank you to every customer, donor and volunteer who supports our shops. Every purchase, donation and conversation helps us continue providing vital care and support to seriously ill children and their families.

If you’re out and about this weekend, why not pop in, discover a hidden treasure and support your local children’s hospice? 💜



📚Our Loughton shop window celebrates the precious memories that can be found within the pages of a storybook.

For many of us, childhood stories are about more than the words on the page. They remind us of being curled up with a favourite soft toy, listening to a familiar voice and feeling safe, loved and secure.

Parents and carers often treasure those moments too - reading aloud, creating different voices, sharing laughter and enjoying precious time together. For a little while, the outside world fades away and all that matters is the story you’re sharing.

As part of Children’s Hospice Week and this year’s theme, A journey to precious memories, our Loughton team has used much-loved books to celebrate the moments that stay with us forever. 💜

At Haven House, those memories are woven through everyday moments. Together, they tell the story of a children's hospice that is so much more than many people realise.

These moments may seem small, but for families navigating the challenges of serious illness, they can mean everything.

It's Children's Hospice Week! 🎉Precious memories are often made in the simplest moments - a celebration, time spent together, a milestone, a smile shared.
Today marks the start of Children's Hospice Week and this year's theme is - A journey to precious memories - discover your local children's hospice.

For many people, a children's hospice is something they know little about until it touches the life of someone they know. Yet children's hospices provide vital care and support to thousands of children and families every day.

At Haven House, we support seriously ill children and their families through specialist care, therapeutic support and opportunities to spend meaningful time together. We believe in adding life to years, not just years to life, helping families navigate the challenges of serious illness with compassion and dignity.

Throughout the week, we'll be shining a light on how Haven House helps families make the most of every moment.

We want every family who needs us to be able to access the care and support they deserve. Join us as we celebrate the moments that matter, challenge misconceptions and discover what children's hospice care is all about.
