There’s something for every girl aged 7-10 at Brownies! 🌟 Whether it’s baking, dancing, playing games or even meditating, your daughter will have lots of fun trying new activities with new friends.

2 super Brownies made their promise last week and officially joined Wolvey Brownies.
These girls have already started working on badges and are enthusiastic about all activities. We are excited to start their Girlguiding journey with them and are looking forward to lots of future adventures. 🤩

Wolvey Brownies had a wonderful visit to a local farm this week to see lots of sheep and lambs 🐑. We saw lots of lambs with their mummies in the fields and went on a walk over the fields and through a small wood. Back in the shed, we stroked a large lamb, then held a small one that was only two days old, it was very cute 💕. We watched the farmer putting the special tag in the lamb’s ear, this has a unique number and can also be scanned to identify the lamb. The girls asked lots of interesting questions and listened well. What a fabulous evening. Thank you Tawny Owl and family for sharing your farm with us all.

Wow, what a super evening at Wolvey Brownies! We had an Easter themed bring-a-friend night, lots of new faces came along to join in the fun.
We started with an action game, where the girls had to listen and do movements for each ‘egg’ that was called out- e.g. curl in a ball for ‘boiled egg’ or lie down with arms and legs out for ‘fried egg’.
Then we split into groups to do a few of the activities around the hall- transport an egg down a zip line, make a sheep finger puppet, make a sheep bookmark, egg and spoon race, and bouncing ping pong balls into a nest.
We also had an Easter hunt where each girl had to find the one chocolate with their name on it that had been hidden around the room, yummy.
It was so fabulously busy that we didn’t get many pictures of the girls in action, but we all had lots of Easter fun.

Chinese New Year celebrations at Wolvey Brownies this week.
We made spring rolls, putting the filling into rice paper and carefully rolling them up. When they were cooked we had a taste, mmm 😋. The girls took some home along with a fortune cookie 🥠.
We also used chopsticks to race to move items from one area to another. We started with jelly sweets, then Maltesers and finally… skittles! They were tricky, but all Brownies tried hard and supported each other. Of course, we also ate a few too 😁🍬

Another brilliant Brownie made her promise at our enrolment evening yesterday in Wolvey. She spoke very clearly and confidently 😊. Already a super Brownie- she is kind, helpful and lots of fun! We know she will continue to grow and develop throughout her girlguiding journey.

Wolvey brownies enjoyed playing some new games on Monday. One of these was Kabaddi. A brownie tries to tig as many players from the opposing team as possible while saying ‘kabaddi, kabaddi, kabaddi,…’ without stopping to take a breath until they get back to their own team. It was very tricky but lots of fun. 🤩

We made 3 different bird feeders at brownies this week.
1) Pine cones covered in peanut butter and rolled in seeds.
2) Monkey nuts 🥜 threaded onto garden wire.
3) Apples 🍏 with perching sticks and seeds pressed into the skin.
I wonder which will attract the most birds to our gardens?
The girls worked well together to complete their feeders.

4 brownies celebrated achieving their Bronze awards this evening 👏🎉
They planned our meeting, chose some party food and led the fun games. What a super evening, you all deserve your new badges. Well done 👍
