We had lots of fun making giant bubbles outside at brownies at Wolvey Village Hall last week. We made bubble wands using string and sticks with a little weight (metal nut) on the lower string.

Bubble recipe-
• 1 Litre (1/5 gallon) of (hot) tap water,
• 250ml (1 cup) of GOOD quality washing up liquid the Fairy Liquid brand really is best)
• 2-4 tablespoons glycerin
Stir the ingredients together gently, try not to make bubbles yet.
• A jar or container is helpful to store your homemade bubbles in

The glycerin helps with the surface tension of your bubbles making them “thicker” and last longer. You can find glycerine in the baking aisle of your supermarket.
It is best made at least a day before you use it.

2 super Brownies made their promise last week and officially joined Wolvey Brownies.
These girls have already started working on badges and are enthusiastic about all activities. We are excited to start their Girlguiding journey with them and are looking forward to lots of future adventures. 🤩

Wolvey Brownies had a wonderful visit to a local farm this week to see lots of sheep and lambs 🐑. We saw lots of lambs with their mummies in the fields and went on a walk over the fields and through a small wood. Back in the shed, we stroked a large lamb, then held a small one that was only two days old, it was very cute 💕. We watched the farmer putting the special tag in the lamb’s ear, this has a unique number and can also be scanned to identify the lamb. The girls asked lots of interesting questions and listened well. What a fabulous evening. Thank you Tawny Owl and family for sharing your farm with us all.
