Happy New Month
As we begin a new month, it’s a good moment to refocus on our health, our wellbeing, and the importance of staying connected as a community.
Physical activity remains one of the most effective ways to prevent and manage Type 2 diabetes. At Global Diabetes Initiatives, we are committed to making this practical, accessible and part of everyday life.
Each week, we bring this to life through:
Serve for Life Tennis Project
KIDOF (Kick Type 2 Diabetes Out Football Tournament)
Step with Purpose – A Journey of Prevention (Walking Programme)
These programmes are designed to be inclusive and welcoming, giving people of all ages the opportunity to stay active, improve their health, and build meaningful social connections.
Every Saturday, we provide: • Free, open-access sessions
• Equipment for all participants
• A supportive and safe environment
• A focus on diabetes prevention, mental wellbeing and community connection
We are seeing more people join us each week, which reflects both the need and the value of community-led prevention work.
This is not just about physical activity—it is about creating sustainable habits, reducing health risks, and supporting people to live healthier, more connected lives.
If you are ready to take a positive step for your health, or would like to support this work, we welcome you to get involved.
Take control of your health. Let this be the month you prioritise prevention.
