A very BIG THANK YOU to all the lovely businesses that generously donated prizes for the Charity Raffle at the charity theatre performance of "Lovesong" earlier this year.
Your generosity made a lot of local people happy and helped raise £3,200 for the Wokingham Foodbank. Such a worthy cause. THANKYOU ❤️👍

Wokingham used to be littered with cable ties on signposts, that is until one of the members of Wokingham 41 Club took up a challenge from the Wokingham in Bloom team.
So far 1467 cable ties have been removed during his regular walks.
Sometimes little things add up to something better. 😎👍

Clive Eckett, Chairman of Wokingham 41 Club was delighted to present £3,200 to Simon O'Kane of the Wokingham Foodbank. The money was raised from the theatre production of Lovesong by Wokingham Theatre, represented by Steve Joy.
At the presentation, Simon added that the Foodbank is in constant demand to help families struggling with the cost of living in Wokingham. He added that fortunately Wokingham people are generous in donating food at the supermarket collection points, for which they are so thankful.

Here at the food bank, along with food parcels, we also offer energy vouchers to support our clients with their energy bills.

In 2025, we spent over £32,000 on fuel vouchers.

We need your support to help us fund the fuel vouchers and support Wokingham Borough residents struggling to pay energy bills.

A small monetary donation helps fund a fuel voucher to someone forced to choose between heating and eating.

What a special emotive Play, "Lovesong" performed beautifully by the Wokingham Theatre for the charity preview in aid of the Wokingham Foodbank. A really BIG THANKS to; the lovely people of Wokingham who bought tickets, to the generous businesses who donated raffle prizes, and to the Actors and all the Backstage folk for giving their time and skill. You all contributed to raising £3000 for the Foodbank. Thankyou!

Here's an insight into Wokingham Theatre's production of "Lovesong" - which they have very generously donated the preview performance on 21st January for the Wokingham Foodbank there are just 12 tickets left for the Charity performance (available only by emailing [email protected]).
If you can't make the special performance on 21st, do go to one of the normal productions, available via the usual WT website. 😎👍
