THE 36th WOKINGHAM CHARITY FIREWORK 2025 SPECTACULAR RAISES £31,000 FOR LOCAL CHARITIES.

The Presentation Evening for the proceeds of Wokingham Fireworks 2025 took place on Tuesday 2nd December at Wokingham Town Hall.

Members of the four service clubs that make up the Wokingham Charitable Fireworks Trust, Windsor Forest Unicorn Club, the Rotary Club of Wokingham Easthampstead Rotary Club, and Wokingham Lions Club attended, as well as representatives from the charities receiving donations and other supporters of the 2025 Fireworks Event.

Wokingham Charitable Fireworks Trust Chairman, David Gold said “Tonight, we recognise the hard work, generosity, and community spirit that made this event possible. Whether you are a sponsor, a volunteer, or a member of the organising team, each of you has played a vital role in this achievement.

I am delighted to announce that we raised a wonderful total of £31,000.

Each service club will receive £7,500, with £4,200 going directly to their nominated charity, and the remaining £3,300 supporting other local charities and deserving causes.

Our Borough and Town Mayors will also each receive £500 for their chosen charities.

It is important to remember that these funds will make a significant difference to those we are supporting. We are not only providing financial assistance, we are offering hope, encouragement, and practical help to those who rely on the generosity of our collective efforts.

I would also like to thank the charity representatives who have joined us tonight. We are delighted to share this occasion with you and to learn more about the incredible work you do. Your passion, dedication, and commitment are truly inspiring, and we are proud to stand alongside you.

Once again, thank you all for your generosity, your time, and your unwavering commitment”.

Presentations were made to the main charity beneficiaries.
£4,200 Main Charity Awards:

🔥 Derek Porter, President of the Rotary Club of Easthampstead, and representing their nominated charity Bracknell, Wokingham and Ascot Samaritans, Colin Crouch.

🔥 Bob Harrison, President of Windsor Forest Unicorn, and representing their nominated charity Thames Valley Air Ambulance, Nancie Sinfield.

🔥 Gareth May, President of Wokingham Lions, and representing their nominated charity BIBS (Babies in Buscot Support), Liz Josef and Sam Harris.

🔥 Bruce Weir, President of the Rotary Club of Wokingham, and representing their nominated charity Soulscape, Michelle McLeish and Nick Barnet.

£500 Mayor Awards.
🔥 Representing the Borough Mayor, Cllr Carol Jewell’s chosen charity Building for the Future Wokingham - Play, Support & Therapy, Jane Holmes (CEO) and Jason McMahon (Fundraising).

🔥 Representing the Town Mayor Cllr Louise Timlin’s chosen charity CLASP, Michelle Munro and Matthew Bond.

Thank you to everyone who attended last night's Wokingham Charity Fireworks Spectacular 2025 - we hope you all enjoyed the event!

Thanks to you we have been able to raise much needed funds for our chosen charities - Thames Valley Air Ambulance, Soulscape, BIBS (Babies in Buscot Support) and Samaritans Bracknell, Wokingham & Ascot.

Wokingham Fireworks is organised by Easthampstead Rotary Club, Wokingham Lions Club, Rotary Club of Wokingham and Windsor Forest Unicorn Club.

The display is at 7:30 - so you can still get to our wokingham-fireworks website and pick up tickets - we have a few left!

🔥 Cantley Field, with the fairground and food vendors, will is open from 5:30pm.
🔥 The torchlit parade leaves the town hall at 6:15 - torches, and glows for the little ones, will be on sale from 5:30pm.
🔥 Then the big display starts at 7:30pm!

The good news is - we still have some tickets left! You can get yours from our wokingham-fireworks website - but better be quick, they are disappearing fast! They can only be bought online, not on the gate - and once they are gone that's it!

Don’t forget! Parking around Cantley Park is restricted for tonight’s Wokingham Fireworks! Best to park in the town and walk down - you could join the torchlit parade which leaves the Town Hall at 6:15pm.
