How interesting to hear at our last meeting all the non-obvious things that CARM volunteers do for our communities. See photo attached with phone number if you may be in need of their services or are able to spare a little time to volunteer. They have 10 points of contact for meetings over Kent and have a wonderful befriending service for this who cannot get out to meet others.

Lots of events happening. A great time to join. We have a WI day at Woodchurch Memorial hall on 16th September. An evening at Willesborough WI hall on 28th September. A craft day on 6th November at Chatham village hall. See details attached and DM me for more details.
All Welcome. We can provide transport to our meetings and outings/events.

Great trip to Smallhythe -Ellen Terry barn theatre Saturday night. Highly recommend this venue for WI outings.

Last Tuesday we had Kate from the Village community garden with some of her friends sharing the beginnings to date of the Village community garden. It is there for all to come and see, to help or just to sit and admire. They meet every Thursday 10.30. - 12.30 for a work party and get together. They even have home schooled youngsters volunteering and learning so much. The garden is situated at the back of the village hall. For such a small area it is packed with plants and wildlife. Open to all, anytime.

Following on from our Summer day in Canterbury where one of the speakers talked about solitary bees and bee homes. I came home took a photo of two of my bee homes and then a few days later could see that the new bees had hatched out and left the home. So pleased they are using these. Plan to get even more for the garden. First two photos with eggs inside, second two photos all hatched out.
Come along, you’ll be surprised what you can learn at the WI. Wittersham meet every first Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm in the club room of the village hall.

What a great day. Our annual East Kent federation Summer Garden day in Canterbury. Today 150 ladies had a fabulous time listening to three great speakers- Nan Eshelby telling us how to garden for pollinators and much more, Neil Franklin from Brogdale Collections and then fabulous wedding flowers from Blooming Green . They grow their own flowers on their farm so you can pick your own! All of this plus lots of great shopping.
Why wouldn’t you join the WI!
💐🐝💚🌷🍏💚🍎💐🌷. This ties in nicely with our monthly meeting on Tuesday 5th June. We are looking at our Community Garden at the back of the hall. Start time 7.30pm. Teas and coffees outside weather permitting. Come along x
