This years’s Young Arts Open event, organised by Wisbech and Fenland Museum, again was a showcase for the fantastic work of young artists in Wisbech and surrounding areas. Over 100 people attended the launch this morning when the prizes were handed out - although all the entrants seemed deserving of one. Wisbech Rotary was pleased to sponsor the prizes as an opportunity to invest in local young people.

It was a great morning at the Christmas Golden Age Fair today in March.
Wisbech Rotary Club supported Hayley and her team by making a donation of £500 to this very worthy cause. Rotarians Toni and Dal were there to hand out goody bags to those visiting.

Today is World Polio Day!
Today, on World Polio Day, we celebrate how far we’ve come and renew our commitment to finishing the job.

Since Rotary pioneered the global fight to end polio in 1985, cases have fallen by 99.9%, saving more than 20 million children from paralysis.

Ending polio remains our number one humanitarian goal. Our progress so far is one of the world's greatest public health achievements, and Rotary members have been at its heart.

But our work isn’t done, and "almost" isn't close enough. Polio still exists in a few regions, and until it is gone everywhere, it remains a threat to children everywhere.

Your continued support, through advocacy, fundraising, and awareness, ensures vaccines reach every last child.

Together, we’ve changed the course of history. Together, we will end polio for good.

It’s always a great partnership when community groups team up to support our local people. Wisbech Rotary today presented a cheque for £600 to Peter Freeman (aka The Secret Santa ) of the Walsoken Village Hall Coffee Morning, to support the Christmas presents that are handed out to their guests.
Rotarian Dal said “together we achieve great things”. Walsoken Coffee morning on Tuesdays is manned by volunteers and attracts over 100 guests every week.
