ReCon Devon deliver 1-2-1 sessions with a young person, our aim is to remove negativity, and instil self-belief and confidence through empowerment. We believe everybody has potential, early sessions allow us to unfold what is holding an individual back, this process is a journey of discovery for the individual and Mentor. An individuals shift in mindset opens up an new level of understanding, respect and attitude, not only of themselves but for family, peers, adults, life and the world around them. Communication skills develop as do valuable life skills. "THE POWER OF NO”, a mantra we are proud of. A simple word that when used correctly can change the course of an individuals life. Peer pressure being the No1 negative outcome for so many of today’s youth. Along side this we look at Social media platforms and their potentially detrimental effects. ReCon Devon’s Alternative Provision utilises Devon’s incredible geography, Dartmoor, Exmoor, the incredible coast lines, forests and urban settings. Individuals open up, they become expressive, they share thoughts which translate into feelings often without even realising it, and we show how by having a voice, change will come. Our Alternative Provision Sessions are funded by Schools and Local Authorities.

What an amazing start we have had to 2026. Never letting the elements win Recon Devon have been traversing Devon & Cornwall making the most of the natural world around up. Together with a young person We walk, we cook, we make, we learn, we listen, we talk, we unpick life, we look forward. A session will give time, space & allow for self expression, grown and unbelievable levels of empowerment.
