We have been exploring feelings and how to communicate them with the Lower group.
Sometimes young carers keep their worries to themselves so not to burden others, this can be quite lonely for some. So they made individual worry buddies, hopefully a first step for some speaking about their worries.
Young carers told to whisper their worries to their buddy on a night, pop it under their pillow and the buddy will do the worrying for them!

This week is Volunteers' Week, and our biannual volunteer summer social evolved into a special length of service award ceremony! 🏆

We celebrated the incredible dedication of our volunteer team, honoring everyone from our newest members of just a few weeks to those who have been with us for over 10 years! Our longest serving volunteer joined us in 2002! Volunteer received a certificate and a badge commemorating their amazing milestones.

Huge thanks toAC Delco Bowmen for hosting, coaching and to Hetty for providing the wonderful food. 🏹🍕

Our volunteer team is vital to our operations—whether they are transporting young carers to groups and activities, or making crucial decisions on our Board of Trustees. We are forever grateful to each and every one of you for taking the time to support young carers in our area. ❤️
This year marks the 42nd year of Volunteers' Week, celebrating volunteers across the UK for everything they do to make our communities stronger every day. ✨

What a wonderful half term!
We pushed on despite the weather and had a really great time together.
Alpaca walking at was informative, fun and a lovely chance to stretch our legs in the shady woodland.
All day Wednesday was spent on the water! gave our young carers the chance to try out kayaking, dingy sailing, crabbing, paddleboarding and a cruise down the river at Beaulieu. Lots of smiles!
Thursday we were welcomed back by AC Delco Bowmen to do some more archery. At this rate, the next Robin Hood will be a young carer from Wi******er!
Big thanks to all our young carers for participating so enthusiastically, and to our volunteers whose support is invaluable 💜

Exploration progamme is underway with all groups exploring their identity and who they care for and why. Lower designing their own t shirts to represent their identity. Nostalgic fun at Upper group with parachute games to understand their caring roles! The aims of the prgramme are achieved in fun and creative ways.

We loved meeting so many bright faces at the Peter Symonds College Wellbeing Day today! 👋

We spoke with over 60 students about the support available for young carers and young adult carers. We used a mini-quiz to share some eye-opening stats and raise awareness about the incredible roles these young people take on.

It was wonderful to see such a strong turnout from local agencies—all working together to ensure no young person has to navigate their journey alone. 💜
