SUMMER SOCIAL AND BARBECUE
Thank you to those members who came along to the Summer Social and Barbecue on Sunday. We hope you enjoyed yourselves.
It was a well-attended event with some 90 people coming to enjoy some food and meet their neighbours.
We were able to award 10 raffle prizes to those who bought tickets.
Many thanks to our ward councillors who attended - some of whom straddled the Social with the council's sports event: Cllr John Braithwaite, Cllr Mike Brunt, Cllr Klaar Dresselaers, all from Abbey.
Special thanks to Cllr Kirsten Galea and her partner who helped with the organisation on the day.
Thanks also to Cafe 110 on Haydons Road which provided some dessert.
Very special thanks to the organisations which provided the raffle prizes:
- The Old Frizzle on the Broadway, which provided a £50 voucher and two bottles of wine
- The Odeon Wimbledon, which provided two tickets
- Bonjour Brioche on Quicks Road, which provided two £15 vouchers
- Whole Lotta Comedy, which is below the William Morris Building on The Broadway, which provided 4 tickets
- The Local Cheese Cave, which provided a £15 voucher
- and the committee member who provided a bottle of fizz and port
