Our Leaders have a combined experience in Scouting of over 100years. We have 4 sections: Beavers (5 ¾ - 8 years), Cubs (8-10 ½ ) Scouts (10 ½ -14) & Explorers 14-18. As a landlocked Sea Scout group we aim to provide our youth members with every opportunity to experience adventures both on water and land. Many of our meetings are held in the great outdoors that surround us in beautiful Cumbria. Scouts are do-ers and give-it-a-go-ers. Yes, we go camping, hiking, sailing, abseiling, cycling and canoeing. But it is also a time to hang out with friends every week – having fun, playing games, working in a team and taking on new challenges. As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with . We bring communities together and contribute to society. We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more. Above all, we aim to build better futures by giving young people the skills to succeed:
• Character skills like resilience, initiative, independence and tenacity
• Employability skills like leadership, teamwork and problem solving
• Practical skills like coding, cooking and First Aid. All genders, races and backgrounds. Regardless of your child’s physical ability – there’s a Scout adventure out there waiting for them. And we’ll help them find it. Help your child discover their ‘thing’: from abseiling to coding to performance art and everything in between by contacting us via the Email or Message Us links.
