Today i'm sharing a story of a young man called Ryan Salmon, he was 28 and originally from Liverpool but then moved to Chester with his partner Leah. Ryan had suffered with his mental health for some time .The family had tried so much to help him and the police was fully aware of his situation. He got detained on the Saturday night and took to the hospital by the police and the hospital said he had no capacity to leave due to his mental state , he left the hospital and got detained again Sunday night. The police took him to the hospital again and the hospital wanted to do a psychiatric assessment on him but because he was now under arrest ( for breach of the peace ) he had to have that assement in the police station. He got took to the cells and was kept there until his partner got a phone call Tuesday morning saying he was in the hospital in cardiac arrest. Ryan had co***ne on him still. He never got strip searched, even though he had a previous record. He took the co***ne in the cell and had a seizure. No one found him for 12 minutes , he then went into cardiac arrest and was in hospital on life support for 6 days before being declared brain dead. The family have seen cell footage and he suffered so much he was begging for help on the cameras. And he pressed the buzzer before he seizured, the officer came and left the door and reported that Ryan was ( making babbling noises and putting it on ) soon as he shut the flap Ryan fell into the seizure. The I.C.U doctor confirmed that if Ryan had received instant medical help he would more than likely be alive today.

This young man could of been saved but because of Police negligence he lost his life, leaving behind his partner leah and their two daughters without a Dad. This story was not made public. This happened in May 2023. But the family have reached out and said they would like his face to seen and his story heard. We must come together in these hard times and show support to try and get these lads justice from a failure that cost them their lives by a corrupt system.

I have woken up today with so many responses privately from the families of people that have died in police custody since October under similar circumstances. Why isn't this blowing up more and in the press and news like Ellis was. Ellis was front page of the paper and all evening news channels. These stories can not be swept under the rug. The police like it when we're quite. Please make support pages and get the word out there. I know how hard this is but changes must be made. It's heartbreaking to hear the families stories. I will share their stories if i get permission. But a protest must be held and we would appreciate all the support we can get and all other families and victims that have had to suffer due to Police negligence. Our voices must be heard. I will update the page when we have a date set. Thank you for the continued support and please message us your stories. We must stick to together.

23 weeks today. We are still waiting for answers. We have spoke to the I.O.P.C and the 5 officers have started to be questioned. It's ridiculous how much time this takes. Probably to try and get their story straight. What a corrupt justice system!

But enough of the scumbags. Today we remember Ellis like every other day. I've just read a post saying
'One day you will unknowingly pose for a picture that will be used for your funeral"

Make sure you take plenty of pictures of your loved ones. We have some beautiful pictures of Ellis but not enough. This is the one that we chose of Ellis and that has been used in the press releases. Our gorgeous lad. Gone but never forgotten. We are certain he's somewhere better than this earth 💙

Today is 22 weeks since Ellis left this earth. The family are having a meeting this month with the I.O.P.C for an update. There has been a new team leader appointed so there has been some delays with updates. We will post what we can as we have been shown so much support. We love you Ellis & miss you dearly. We won't stop until we have all the answers we need and that's a promise! 🩵

Today marks 5 months since Ellis left this earth. This will be the first Christmas without him. He would usually be out at Park hall with his friends, celebrating and dancing, his favourite thing to do. This year will be unbearably hard for his Mum, Dad & Sister. But they will try to make it special for Ellis's neice & nephew that he loved very much. Many tears have been shed since Ellis has passed but this week has felt heavier than ever. We miss and love you beyond words. We hope you are celebrating up there with our other angels. We are thinking of all our loved ones that are no longer here. Our hearts hurt for any other person that is struggling with Christmas without their loved ones this year. It's supposed to be a time full of love and joy , but for some it is the total opposite. Merry Christmas everyone and thank you for all the support 🩵✨️

Today is 19 weeks since Ellis left us. Not a minute of the day that he isn't in our thoughts or spoken about by his family & friends. A funny memory Today of Ellis wearing this afro wig that his Dad bought him. Ellis brought so much joy and laughter into many people's lives. He will never be forgotten. We continue to fight for Justice and won't stop until we get it for you Ellis 🩵

Today marks 18 weeks since Ellis left us. The only update we have had is that the enquiry has been extended. So we won't be getting any more answers until 2026. But the family are getting stronger now and will never give up in this fight for justice. Forever loved and missed 🩵
