♻️🌱COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP & GREEN SPACE ROUND-UP (5 June edition!)🌱♻️
As promised, here is the latest round up of activities to make Pemberton greener, cleaner and more pleasant for all:
🌿Yesterday we had a litterpick around the Halfway House area, and also tackled pavement weeds in the area too! Huge thank you to Martin, Alison, Cllr Matthew Lambert , Julia and Ann for your help, and to Tony and Kyle for organising.
🌿I got out during a brief dry spell to mow and strim the grass on the From Coal to Colour project.
🌿Massive, happy daisies! Not an activity as such, but it's currently hard to miss the ox-eye daisies growing round the carpark on the From Coal to Colour project. These are UK native wildflowers and clearly very happy where they are growing.
🌿Amanda got out again tackling the litter on Queen Street behind KFC and Divinos.
🌿Our parent group Pemberton Community Association is bringing together volunteers to restore St Johns church graveyard. Please visit their page if you can help, or want to donate towards equipment and materials for the restoration.
🌿 Pemberton Community Associationare also looking for helpers with the memorial garden on Chapel St. We have offered to help with this, but it would great to get some fresh faces involved - please contact the Association if that fresh face could be you!
Ange xx
