According to butterfly-conservation.org the Glanville Fritillary is virtually restricted to coastal landslips on the southern half of the Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands along with a few coastal locations on the mainland. One to look out for!

Portsdown has five orchid species reliably seen each year - and most of them are in flower now! Although, that applies to most of the plants on the hill, so a keen eye is needed to spot their delicate spikes.
