Thanks so much to everyone who came along to our bat walk tonight, it was lovely to see so many people there. It was a great evening and we really appreciate you coming! If you wanted to come and couldn't make it, do let us know as we may do another in late summer if the interest is there.

Still have a few bat boxes left if anyone would like one, suggested donation £10, all money goes to funding environmental projects in Wickwar. Message on here or email [email protected] if you're interested 😊🦇

VE Bench

The commemorative bench at the Wickwar Playing Fields Association field in Wickwar has had its Spring oiling and looks fantastic!!
Please do enjoy this quiet spot…perfect on a sunny day 😊
…just be careful for the next few days as the oil takes a while to dry. 🙃

From PCC:

It's that time again for a big Autumn tidy up before Remembrance Sunday on 9 Nov.

When? Saturday 8th November from 10.00 Usually finish by midday at the very latest!

Other info: Wear appropriate clothing for the weather.

- If you prefer to clean inside, please bring your preferred cleaning materials and furniture polish etc. as we may not have enough for everybody.

- For those working outside, please bring gloves and any suitable garden tools – rakes, hoes, brooms, wheelbarrows, leaf blowers, strimmers, dumpy bags etc.

❗A reminder for those working outside❗
Please still leave some messy areas, like log and leaf piles, as these are crucial for hibernating animals! And for those strimming, please check for hiding mammals and amphibians first! 🦔🍂🐸

- Refreshments will be available in the Church Room, so if anyone would like to volunteer to help Buffy &/or supply cake & biscuits I know that would be really appreciated by those clearing up.

Thank you very much in anticipation for any support you can provide and we look forward to seeing some of you there.

A huge ‘THANK YOU’ to the many volunteers who helped us plant 1,100 daffodil bulbs up along ‘The Stank’ leading up to Wickwar church earlier today.
It should make a lovely welcoming display this springtime.

Just to remind you we have a bat walk on tomorrow evening, 7pm at Wickwar church. Always a fun and interesting time so please come and join us! 🦇

❗Potential event cancellation❗
To celebrate international bat night, we have a bat walk planned this Saturday (30th) 7:45pm at Holy Trinity Church, Wickwar (as advertised in the Parish mag).
However, at the moment, the forecast is for rain which means the bats won't be out, so neither will we! 🌧
We will confirm whether this event will be happening or not by Saturday morning.
Thanks for your patience, and sorry for anyone who had seen this event in the Parish mag and was planning on attending! Thank you 🦇
