✨ Official Opening of Our New Sensory Rooms ✨
We are delighted to announce the official opening of our new sensory rooms, designed to provide a calm, safe retreat from overstimulating environments, as well as a welcoming and enjoyable space for autistic children and adults.
These sensory rooms are a much-needed facility and are the first of their kind to be open to the public in the local area. Located at the rear of Wick Youth Club, the rooms benefit from their own separate, discreet access.
Room One – Undersea Theme🐙🐠🦀🐳
This room offers a soothing undersea experience and features an infinity mirror, music pod, light tube, and ceiling fibre-optic lights. A fully padded floor, comfortable seating, and a variety of sensory toys, cushions, and cosy throws help create a relaxing and supportive environment.
Room Two – Animal & Nature Theme 🐅🐘🦒🌿
The second room features raised padded seating and an animal and nature theme, with an artificial grass floor. It includes bean bags, a sensory floor feature, an infinity mirror, and an interactive projector. The projector offers a wide range of engaging themes with accompanying sound effects, encouraging interaction and exploration.

Finally we would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Highland Community Regeneration Fund, who listened to us and believed in our vision and provided the financial support needed to bring this project to life. A special thank you to Mark Crowe, the fund’s Project Manager, for his invaluable guidance and ongoing support throughout the project. We are also extremely grateful to Tigerplay Ltd, especially Gary, Kenny and Finn, who worked with us to design the rooms and travelled North to complete the installation to a very high standard. Thank you everyone. - If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me on messenger. Many thanks. - Julie. Manager. :)
