This year's theme is 'The Garden of England'. The orchards, crops, and woodland that make up Kent. The imported flowers that make our gardens colourful, the hops and vines that fill our pubs, the fruit and vegetables that reach our tables, and the wildflowers and wildlife that make our woodlands so beautiful! First phase of the road closures to fix the NEW Thanet Way have been announced. On the 1st June, the road will close 8pm until 5am with the diversion being by the Old Thanet Way and Herne Bay Road. This is initially 1-11th but may last as long as eight weeks. We are trying to get more detail on the phasing of the work.

Whitstable Yacht Club hosts the 232nd Whitstable Town Regatta over the early May Bank Holiday 2 to 4 of May. Racing is scheduled for 2pm each day with two races back-to-back with one start using an All-in-Handicap format. Hold a binding national referendum on whether the water industry should be returned to public ownership. Water is a basic human necessity; we believe our privatised system has failed, so the public should decide who owns and controls it.
