Another busy mid week day spent at the shed. Atlantean 6294 continues to present problems. Fuel blockage deemed responsible, as the sediment catcher was full of sludge.
Fresh fuel has now been pumped in. Just need to let it settle for a few days before giving it a try. Fuel system now clear.
Meanwhile we relegated Atlantean 6300 to sandwich duties.

Mid week move around today. With various vehicles returning this week from having work done off site, we needed a re-shuffle.
Yes the battery booster came out to play but had no problem starting up a couple of vehicles, who thought they were still in the middle of December!
A new lift pump had been ordered for Atlantean 6294 and was fitted today. Hopefully she will be up and running by this weekend.

Numbers again! Our customer sent us a well worn original (seen on the right in this photo for those of you who had doubts 😉) which we then scanned and replicated perfectly with the 3 new blinds shown alongside.

A nice trip out to York today for our resident Leyland Olympian with it's new owner, and a few of our members. Taking in the sights of York, K740 ODL is pictured at various points around York, including the railway station.
Meanwhile other members took the opportunity to take our Leyland Atlantean 6300 PUA 300W out for a nice steady drive. Both vehicles performed faultlessly.

🚍 Bank Holiday Test Run Success for WYPTE 6300 ☀️

On Bank Holiday Monday, two members of White Rose Bus Group took WYPTE 6300 out on an extended test run to further build confidence in the vehicle following its recent radiator rebuild.

After several shorter test runs to confirm that the rebuilt radiator was performing as expected, this outing represented the first real test of the work carried out. Covering approximately 35 miles, the vehicle was put through its paces in what turned out to be the hottest May Bank Holiday ever recorded in the UK.

We are pleased to report that WYPTE 6300 performed admirably throughout the journey, coping well with the challenging conditions and providing further reassurance that the radiator rebuild has been a success.

A big thank you to everyone involved in the rebuild and testing process. It’s always rewarding to see one of our vehicles back out on the road and performing exactly as it should.
