☀️ Did you know that hot weather can have a real impact on our mental health? It can lead to increased irritability, anxiety, and even worsen existing mental health conditions. Not to mention, it can mess with our sleep and make it harder to concentrate.
But don't sweat it, we've got some tips to help you stay cool and keep your mental health in check during those scorching days:
1️⃣ Seek shade during peak sun hours and take cool showers or baths. Fans are your friends, but remember they might not be as effective when temperatures exceed 35 degrees Celsius.
2️⃣ Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! 🥤 And try to avoid drinks that dehydrate you, like alcohol and excessive caffeine.
3️⃣ Stick to your regular sleep schedule and engage in relaxing activities during the cooler hours.
4️⃣ Be mindful of your mood. Practice relaxation techniques and don't hesitate to reach out if you're feeling overwhelmed.
5️⃣ Be aware of heat exhaustion and heatstroke. If you or someone else experiences symptoms, seek medical help immediately.
Remember, it's okay to not be as productive on hot days. Be kind to yourself and take the necessary steps to stay cool and hydrated. "
