Today on the 100th birthday of the incomparable David Attenborough, the man who has brought natural history to life for so many of us, let us remind ourselves of the urgent need to protect species from extinction.

We are in the midst of a sixth mass extinction event. Immediate action is needed to support biodiversity and prevent further extinctions.

We are playing a critical part in this effort, and you can help us.

Please joining us in wishing David Attenborough a very happy birthday, thanking him for all he has done, and pushing forward to see this vision of a better world come to life.

You can help us preserve the UK's rarest butterfly. Over the next five days, every donation made to Space For The Wild via the Big Give's Earth Raise campaign will be matched to support conservation and rewilding of swallowtail butterflies in East Anglia.

Nature's SAFE is a key collaborator on this project, which combines cryopreservation of butterfly embryos to support breeding, growing milk parsley (the caterpillars only food source) and creating new habitats for butterflies to thrive. This is a holistic rewilding approach which we are very proud to play a part in.

Donations made from 22-29 April through the donation page will qualify for the matched funding, so please head over to the donation page today!
