CALLING ESK VALLEY RESIDENTS : THE 96 BUS SERVICE (WHITBY - LEALHOLM, OPERATED BY 21 TRANSPORT) IS DUE FOR RENEWAL.
Contracts for North Yorkshire Council subsidised local bus services are due for renewal in April 2027. NYC is seeking comments on these services, so that they can be better informed when preparing tenders for new contracts.

Memory Walk at the Captain Cook Museum, 2pm on Tuesday 8th September.

The walk lasts approx 1 hour followed by refreshments. The walk is mostly indoor, completely accessible and suitable for people living with dementia and their carers.

Rob will be completing his 100 mile cycle ride on Sunday in aid of Whitby DAG and WHISH Community.

This challenge continues Rob’s commitment to supporting local causes. Last year, he raised over £3,000 for The Great North Air Ambulance Service - an outstanding effort for a vital lifesaving charity.

Have your say about rural buses in York and North Yorkshire!

York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority (YNYCA) has been awarded funding to explore how to deliver better rural and coastal bus services and this study will help to shape approaches to future services.

YNYCA want to hear from people whose voices are often not heard or involved in decisions on transport, whether they use buses or not. Please fill out this survey and share with your friends and family in York and North Yorkshire.

Rocket Science are working alongside ITP by Haskoning as part of the commission for Rural Bus Franchising Studies, commissioned by YNYCA.
