Blaby Acoustic Club The club meet every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:30pm. It is free and there is no membership fee. The format is a 'sing-around'. This way no one gets left out.

each person gets to sing a song or play a set of tunes in turn. We are a very friendly group and everyone is most welcome. We are a mixed ability club and every participant is afforded the same appreciation and encouragement. So if you are an established act, come along and try out your new material. If you are a beginner there is no better place to get help and encouragement and gain experience.

PS. the beer is great with real ale on tap! Meet in the skittle alley, just follow the car park round the pub. We do ask people to be quiet while someone is playing, etc, as a courtesy to the performers.

Blaby Acoustic Club's first meet of 2025 is on Wednesday 8th January. Commencing at 7:30pm.
From then on we will be meeting every 2nd Wednesday of the month.

Hello everyone,
Tonight (18/12/2024) is the final singaround of 2024! hope to see you all there.
Next year there is a change to the frequency of club meetings. We start on Wednesday the 8th January 2025. After that the club will only meet on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.
12th Feb. 12th March. 9th April. etc.
Also as Laz Gilbert no longer formally runs the club this page will be closed down in the new year.
"Blaby Acoustic Folk Group" WhatsApp will still be in operation so if you wish to be included let us know.
I will also update the "Leicester Folk Diary" entry.

Hi All, a BIG thank you from Jane for the gift voucher, she will get herself a DAB radio, it's just what she needed, so we'll done everyone for chipping in, and looks like the new people, will let you continue with the Wednesday nights, I'll pop in now and again, make sure your doing it right, take care all.

Hi All, because Jane is leaving, and we think any flowers, she'd have to take with her,or chuck um, so with the £65 we got we added to it , to make a £100 on the Amazon gift card, plus a thank you card, which anyone can sign, comment etc, will be there next Wednesday.
