Another busy cafe today with some of the youngest in our community accessing craft with lovely Rosie and a singing session with Adele from Community Matters Yorkshire.
Callum from Citizens Advice had a fully booked advice session whilst a steady stream of tea/coffee and cakes (including Jackie's homemade scones) were served to all!

Tomorrow, we have the lovely ladies from Breathing Space joining us at the cafe.
Everyone is always very welcome at the cafe and we have a baby/toddler area ready for any little ones. And we're completely free too!

Thank you to Cllr Connor Mulhall - Mayor of Wetherby for spending the morning with us! As you can tell by the apron, we put him to good use!

We had a busy cafe this morning, with a lovely collection of children happily playing too. All ages are very welcome each and every week 😊

Caroline Yelland from the EPOSS cluster will be with us on Friday.
She'll be available to have an informal chat with parents/carers about any questions/concerns re. their child's emotional wellbeing, anxiety and additional needs.
EPOSS support 16 local primary schools as well as Wetherby High School so have a wealth of knowledge about strategies, interventions and support services available in the area.

We’re looking for volunteers to help at our Community Cafe!

Do you have a few hours to spare and enjoy chatting with people?
We’d love to hear from you. Hours would be 9:45-12:15 on a Friday- no need to do every week.

We’re looking for friendly, welcoming volunteers to help with:

☕ Serving tea and coffee

💬 Having a chat and offering a warm welcome

📍 Signposting people to local support when needed

🤝 Listening and helping people feel connected in our community

No special experience needed—just a kind, approachable nature and a genuine interest in supporting others.
We’re a small and supportive team, and volunteering with us is a great way to meet people and make a real difference in the community.

We’d be happy to have a chat and tell you more, send us a message or drop in.
