We’re proud to announce that HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh is our new patron. The Duchess’s patronage will continue the tradition of Royal support, following on from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II who was patron from 1953.

Like Queen Elizabeth II, HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh has a long-standing association with Girlguiding, starting from being a Brownie. The Duchess has been a passionate supporter of Girlguiding for many years since taking over the role of president from Princess Margaret in 2003. We will be appointing a new president in 2025.

Do you have an hour to spare once a week... we are looking to open a new rainbow unit in Hutton on a Tuesday Evening 5pm - 6pm for 4 - 7 year olds.
But before we can offer this to the amazing girls we know live in our area we need fabulous adult volunteers let me know if you like some more information or fancy grabbing a coffee to chat more.

📣 Girlguiding South West England are looking for volunteers to join a working group whose aim will be to support fundraising and grant applications in the region.

We welcome applicants from anyone who currently holds an active role within Girlguiding SWE, especially those with experience in fundraising in their units or individuals with a particular interest in improving inclusion.

Full role descriptions will be created once the working group has been put together, and responsibilities will be agreed upon as a cohort. However, some of what you can expect to get involved with includes 👉

🌱 Supporting units, commissioners, and advisors with fundraising ideas
🌱 Researching grant opportunities for specific cases for the region or for individual counties/islands/units
🌱 Helping with fundraising events

Meetings will be held four times a year, with the first meeting being in person at St Ann’s Manor, Salisbury. We hope this will be in August. If this sounds like something you may be interested in and would like to be considered for, please send the following details to [email protected] by July 14th. Applications can be written or made via video.
