Volunteers’ Week (1st to 7th June) is a special time to recognise and celebrate the incredible contribution that volunteers make in communities across the country.
We asked the organisations to share the stories of the amazing volunteers who make a difference in their organisation and community. Some of the stories are presented here that they shared.

Autism Support Crawley Information Page nominated Kirsty for her amazing contribution to fundraising. They say 'Kirsty is priceless. Everyone needs a Kirsty'.

Crawley Community Youth Service (CCYS) would like to thank Phil. He is very positive with young people and delivers great youth work.

Crawley District Scouts would like to thank all volunteers who bring first-class scouting.

Cats Protection Crawley and Horsham also like to thank all their incredible volunteers for their passion, energy & dedication.

Ten Little Toes. Baby Bank. West Sussex want to thank Erica for her hard work, commitment, and energy. They say- 'she brings light and laughter, and energises the whole team whenever she is in the hub'.

We are pleased to share upcoming trauma-informed training opportunities from Lifecentre UK this May and June, with limited places remaining on each course.

They are a West Sussex-based charity that has supported people affected by unwanted sexual experiences for over 25 years. Alongside therapeutic services, they deliver practical, evidence-based training designed to help professionals feel more confident, competent, and supported when working with trauma, disclosures, and mental health needs.

Courses are developed and delivered by experienced trauma-informed therapists and educators. They are designed for anyone working in frontline, safeguarding, education, health, or support roles where these issues may arise.

All training income directly supports their specialist services for people of all genders, ages, and backgrounds.
