Link to Hope Autumn Fair, West Wickham

Link to Hope Autumn Fair, West Wickham The Autumn Fair takes place annually in St Francis Hall. West Wickham one Saturday in October. We also have pre-loved Christmas jumpers, Posh Frocks and Books.

The Link to Hope Autumn Fair takes place annually in St Francis Church Hall on a Saturday in October, 11am-3pm (free entry). Pop along to enjoy delicious home-made cakes and a cuppa, pick up some preserves and perhaps make an early start on your Christmas shopping at an array of bespoke craft, jewellery and gift stalls. The Fair is being organised by St John's Church and is in support of Link to Hope, a charity dedicated to rebuilding lives and communities in Eastern Europe through education and social care projects. The Fair raises funds for and awareness of Link to Hope's "Family Shoebox Appeal". Gifts are given to families who often have to make a choice between buying food or fuel at Christmas time - buying presents is just not a priority, with many of these families not having running water, heating or electricity. If you have a few minutes please watch the Link to Hope Shoebox Video. It lets you see just how important these shoeboxes are to those people who receive them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfS3XdEXxCE

So so sad that dear Dumitru - Slavic's much loved father în law - has passed away. We hope that Slavic will now be able to join us in the Spring.

As many of you know, we have had to postpone the Shoebox talks that we had planned with Slavic Duman from Moldova due to his father in law Dimitru suddenly being taken ill. Sadly Dimitru has now passed away - an amazing man who glowed with his faith and was talking to people about Jesus right to the very end. He will be sorely missed by his family, community and church and we are thinking of everyone at this sad time particularly Slavic who now has so much more to do.

Everyone who booked a ticket to one of the talks was offered their money back but almost everyone has asked to keep their ticket till we can arrange for Slavic to come again, hopefully in February next year. We may also be able to add some extra talk locations. Hold your loved ones close.

Please join Link to Hope in praying for all those affected by this war 😕

On the 4th anniversary of the war in Ukraine please pray for our project managers - Zina, Alex, Max, Misha, Nicoli, Alexandra, Ludmilla and their families and friends. We can't imagine what they are having to endure but they continue their work knowing they are making a difference to peoples lives at this terrible time. Please pray for peace and for a just conclusion to be the final outcome.
