The Institute of Munition Clearance and Search Engineers (IMCSE) is a professional institute that provides an international focus for those engaged in munition clearance and search in the commercial, NGO and security force sectors. A not-for-profit organisation, IMCSE brings together those who have a professional interest in the clearance of CBRNE items, and their constituent parts, whether of ind
ustrial manufacture or improvised; and those with a professional interest in systematic search for target items including, but not limited to, CBRNE munitions and their constituent parts. IMCSE Council includes global leaders in munition clearance and search across the spectrum of disciplines and the membership is representative of practitioners, trainers, researchers and manufacturers from the commercial, NGO and security force sectors of the industry. The principal objectives of IMCSE are to validate the source of members qualifications and experience and to accredit munition clearance and search organisations thereby providing global equivalence, to facilitate the exchange of ideas, information and solutions and to contribute to the development of international standards, policy and regulation within the munition clearance and search disciplines to the benefit of members and the industry thus enhancing the safety and security of risk exposed communities while mitigating the negative impact on the environment.
